Christian Counseling

2326402869Spending time with God is essential to you.

We must realize how to balance our lives when devoting our time to something.

Your time division should include family, work, recreation, and self-care. Your spiritual piece also needs to be considered here.

Spending time with God every day is a good thing. It helps set your day on a good path, and talking to God throughout the day keeps you on track to have a successful, meaningful day of accomplishments.

It helps to view struggles from a Biblical perspective.

Many clients tell me they are believers and talk to God during devotional time. To these clients, whether individuals or couples, I give them a Bible verse to read as part of their time with God.

Romans 5: 1-5 is my way of letting them know we all have struggles, but if we can persevere through those troubles, we become changed – for the better because we have learned from our struggles and have the strength to face whatever comes our way.

Prayer brings couples closer together.

For marriage or couples counseling, I talk to clients who say they have drifted apart over the years. Communication is complex, and they do not like who they have become in their marriage.

I suggest a simple solution to help these clients get closer to one another again: Pray together. Pray together and do it often. Let each other hear what you want the Lord’s help with. Prayer produces fantastic results.

I also suggest spending quality time with meaningful conversation. Meaningful conversation involves emotion and talking to each other about how you feel about the other person. Date nights are great, but quality time can be spent just sitting and talking about your life together.

Sometimes, these suggestions are hard to do, but if you plan and be persistent, the results you see will be outstanding. God is good. And He wants good things for you. Comfort, joy, and peace are His gifts to you. Just follow Him.

Let’s use the Bible as our guide.

Clients can learn to deal with struggles and relationships through individual or couples counseling through a Christian perspective.
